SYNOPSIS

Workers' compensation for urban search and rescue teams

R.C. 5502.29 and 5502.301

Specifies that an agreement with the Ohio Emergency Management Agency (OEMA) Executive Director must be written for the OEMA to be considered the employer of an urban search and rescue team member for purposes of the Workers' Compensation Law.

Corrects a cross-reference error in the law regarding workers' compensation benefits for political subdivision personnel rendering mutual assistance or aid outside their respective political subdivisions.
