A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Norwalk High School cheer team on winning 2024 OHSAA and 2025 OASSA State Championships.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Norwalk High School cheer team on securing first place in Division III at the 2024 Ohio High School Athletic Association Spirit State Championship and in the Division 3 game day non-building small category at the 2025 Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators State Cheer Championships; and

WHEREAS, The remarkable athletes of the Norwalk High School cheer team are, indeed, to be commended for their outstanding fitness and competitive drive, and these qualities have figured prominently in the squad’s impressive performances. During this competition season, the Truckers won the 2024 OHSAA Division III State Championship and advanced to the 2025 OASSA State Cheer Championships, where they placed first in the Division 3 game day non-building small category for a second consecutive year and second in the Division 3 building category. To their credit, the members could always be counted on to execute even the most demanding routines with agility, precision, exuberance, and grace; and

WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of their coaches, the members of the Norwalk High School cheer team have trained tirelessly in order to ensure peak physical and mental conditioning, and their exceptional prowess has earned them many admirers. Clearly, the experience they have acquired from participating in this sport is certain to benefit them in the years to come; and

WHEREAS, Their enthusiastic spirit and love of sports has led all those who comprise the Norwalk High School cheer team to take part in many activities, and they have served as an inspiration to their peers. Their accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on them but also on their families, their coaches, their school, and their community; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Norwalk High School cheer team on their state titles and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Norwalk High School cheer team.
