A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Lila Bendick on winning the 2025 Division I State Long Jump Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Lila Bendick as the 2025 Division I State Track and Field Champion in the long jump; and

WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and dedication during the 2025 season, Lila Bendick certainly distinguished herself as one of the most talented athletes in Ohio. At this year’s Division I State Meet, she won the long jump championship, and she is deserving of acknowledgement; and

WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Lila Bendick has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. A standout for the Olentangy Liberty High School track and field team, she has inspired her teammates, thrilled her fans, gained the respect of her opponents, and made her coaches, family, and community proud; and

WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Clearly, Lila Bendick has learned much about excellence as an athlete, and she has made a significant impact on high school track and field in our state; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Lila Bendick on her track and field success and offer best wishes for the years ahead; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Lila Bendick.
