A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Christopher Monsour on receiving the 2026 Ohio Teacher of the Year Award.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Christopher Monsour on being presented with the 2026 Ohio Teacher of the Year Award by the Ohio State Board of Education; and
WHEREAS, Christopher Monsour can be justly proud of this special honor, for it recognizes him for the contributions he has made, again and again, to his profession. A biology, environmental science, and anatomy and physiology teacher with Tiffin City Schools, he has encouraged his students to work to their potential, and by maintaining an atmosphere that is conducive to all learning styles, he has epitomized the qualities that characterize the finest educators in Ohio. We commend him on his praiseworthy efforts; and
WHEREAS, Unselfish and approachable, Christopher Monsour is held in high regard by students, parents, and faculty members alike for the initiative and commitment he has displayed in all of his endeavors. He has played a valuable role in helping his students receive the best possible education, and we are certain that in the years to come, he will continue to achieve the same level of success that undoubtedly earned him this award; and
WHEREAS, Christopher Monsour has gained a sterling reputation for dedication and excellence, and his career has been a model of professional deportment. Indeed, his many accomplishments and unwavering dedication to quality education are sure to inspire future generations of teachers to devote themselves similarly; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Christopher Monsour on his statewide distinction and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Christopher Monsour.
