A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Kirk Kiefer as the 2025 NAWEOA Officer of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Kirk Kiefer on receiving the 2025 Officer of the Year Award from the North American Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association; and

WHEREAS, Kirk Kiefer is truly worthy of recognition, and congratulations are certainly in order. A wildlife investigator and field training officer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife, where he has worked for twenty-two years, he has given willingly of his time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, and he has been exceptional in the performance of his duties; and

WHEREAS, Consistently exercising sound judgment, Kirk Kiefer has been conscientious in discharging his diverse and challenging responsibilities, and he has been a fine ambassador for his vocation. Being selected as the 2025 Officer of the Year is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his supervisors, his colleagues, his department, and his community; and

WHEREAS, Kirk Kiefer’s enthusiasm and devotion to duty have earned him the respect and gratitude of his peers and of the state he has so capably served. Indeed, he has pursued his goals in a painstaking manner, never failing to overcome even the most seemingly insurmountable obstacle, and those interested in a career in wildlife enforcement could find no finer example to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Kirk Kiefer for outstanding accomplishment and salute him as an exemplary Ohioan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kirk Kiefer.
