A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Upper Arlington High School girls soccer team as the 2025 Division I State Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Upper Arlington High School girls soccer team on winning the 2025 Division I State Championship; and

WHEREAS, A standout group of young athletes, the members of the Upper Arlington High School girls soccer team have established themselves as truly exceptional competitors by combining talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, the Golden Bears worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in soccer, and as a result, they defeated a tough Cincinnati Seton squad by the score of 1-0 to win this year’s Division I State Championship, their first such title in program history, and finished the season with an impressive 19-1-2 record, the best in program history; and

WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Upper Arlington High School girls soccer team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school community, and their head coach, Jared Dombrowski. Indeed, in leading the team to victory, Coach Dombrowski has helped these athletes to develop great talent by instilling the valuable lessons of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay tribute to the exemplary athletes and the outstanding coaches of the Upper Arlington High School girls soccer team for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Upper Arlington High School girls soccer team on its tremendous 2025 season and praise the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Upper Arlington High School girls soccer team.
