A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Baylynn Bendik as the USATF Middle School Girls Cross Country National 4K Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Baylynn Bendik on winning the 2025 USA Track and Field Middle School Girls Cross Country National 4K Championship; and

WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Baylynn Bendik has clearly demonstrated her talent and perseverance, as well as her mental and physical fortitude as a long-distance runner. As this year’s USATF Middle School Girls Cross Country National 4K Champion with a time of 14:35.9, she has exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including courage, determination, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship; and

WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional prowess as a seventh-grade member of the Open Door Christian School girls cross country team, Baylynn Bendik has earned the appreciation of her fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even her most determined rivals. Competition in athletics has enabled her to learn much about dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge her exceptional record of achievement; and

WHEREAS, Long-distance running is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural ability, and Baylynn Bendik is to be commended for her commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining her athletic goals, she has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Baylynn Bendik on her tremendous success in cross country this season and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Baylynn Bendik.
