A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Grady Kinsey as Ohio’s Mr. Football for 2025.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Grady Kinsey on being named the 2025 Ohio Mr. Football by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association; and

WHEREAS, A senior running back and linebacker at Indian Valley High School, Grady Kinsey has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in football to rank first in Ohio High School Athletic Association history in career touchdowns with 133, second in career points with 840, third in career rushing with 8,607 yards and in single-season touchdowns with 50, and ninth in single-season rushing with 3,278 yards in 2024, and he helped his team win the 2024 Division IV State Championship as well as advance to the 2025 Division IV Final Four; and

WHEREAS, Grady Kinsey’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to Grady Kinsey on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in football will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Grady Kinsey as the 2025 Ohio Mr. Football and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Grady Kinsey.
