A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Meadow Tian on winning the 2025 OHSAA Division I State Championship in girls golf.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud Meadow Tian as the winner of the 2025 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I State Championship in girls golf; and

WHEREAS, Winning the first state title for the Olentangy High School girls golf team as well as an individual title, Meadow Tian is deserving of acknowledgement for her exemplary performance at the OHSAA Division I State Tournament, where she secured a first-place finish with an impressive total score of 139. Her athletic prowess as an outstanding competitor is reflected in this state crown, and her success stands as a hallmark for others; and

WHEREAS, Through her participation in golf, Meadow Tian has expanded on her growth and accomplishments by preparing diligently, and she has set an example worthy of emulation. Indeed, by further implementing her remarkable discipline, perseverance, and hard work on the state level, she has inspired many to challenge themselves to strive for excellence; and

WHEREAS, In a society that encourages individuals to reflect on the merits of advancing one’s endeavors, athletic competition has become a valuable outlet for success. We are delighted to congratulate such a fine golfer as Meadow Tian and look with optimism as she continues her development in the sport; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, extend special recognition to Meadow Tian for her athletic achievement in girls golf at the 2025 OHSAA Division I State Tournament and salute her as a fine Ohioan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Meadow Tian.
