A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Trotwood-Madison High School boys basketball team on winning the 2026 Division III State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute the Trotwood-Madison High School boys basketball team as the 2026 Division III State Champion; and

WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the Trotwood-Madison High School boys basketball team is an impressive group of athletes with unmatched talent and teamwork. In the 2026 Division III State Tournament, the squad bested Steubenville 48-47 with a basket in the final seconds to win its second state title in program history, and this victory will be celebrated for many years to come; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Trotwood-Madison High School boys basketball team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a dynamic force in high school sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved throughout the 2025-2026 season; and

WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of the Trotwood-Madison High School boys basketball team primed themselves under the guidance of Coach Carl Blanton, Sr., to secure this year’s state crown. Indeed, the Rams have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Trotwood-Madison High School boys basketball team on its success and honor the athletes and coaches for their tremendous prowess; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Trotwood-Madison High School boys basketball team.
