A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Huxleigh Marquis as a 2026 USA Gymnastics Level 3 Ohio Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Huxleigh Marquis on winning the bars and all-around events at the 2026 USA Gymnastics Level 3 Ohio Championships; and

WHEREAS, A member of Kids World Gymnastics, Huxleigh Marquis has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently to attain ultimate proficiency in gymnastics, and as a result, she won the bars event with a score of 9.8 and the all-around event with a score of 38.125, placed second in the beam event with a score of 9.45 and the floor event with a score of 9.425, and secured third place in the vault event with a score of 9.45 at this year's USA Gymnastics Level 3 Ohio Championships; and

WHEREAS, Huxleigh Marquis' accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Huxleigh Marquis on an exemplary performance. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in sports will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Huxleigh Marquis on her achievement and offer best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Huxleigh Marquis.
