A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Mila Gelbart on winning the 2026 Division III State Championship in the pole vault.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Mila Gelbart as the 2026 Division III State Champion in the pole vault; and

WHEREAS, A member of the Oakwood High School girls track and field team, Mila Gelbart has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in her sport, and as a result, she won first place in the pole vault at this year's Division III State Meet; and

WHEREAS, Mila Gelbart's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to Mila Gelbart on an exemplary season. Indeed, the maturity and experience she has gained as a member of the Oakwood High School girls track and field team will aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Mila Gelbart on her Division III State Championship and look with optimism to her ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mila Gelbart.
