A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Archbishop Alter High School boys 4x400-meter relay team on winning the 2026 Division III State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Archbishop Alter High School boys 4x400-meter relay team as the 2026 Division III State Champion; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Archbishop Alter High School boys 4x400-meter relay team, including Tobias Garrison, Q Thomas, Rhylen Dawson, and Chimdi Eze, are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly remarkable competitors. The unwavering commitment of the runners and coaches has earned them the esteem of many, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, The coaches of the Archbishop Alter High School boys 4x400-meter relay team have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the runners to victory, and their skill is reflected in the squad's outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to their tireless efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the track, and they have received respect and admiration from all who know them; and

WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the Archbishop Alter High School boys 4x400-meter relay team have gained discipline and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the Archbishop Alter High School boys 4x400-meter relay team as the 2026 Division III State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the success of this fine squad; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Archbishop Alter High School boys 4x400-meter relay team.
