A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Fairfield County as the recipient of two National Association of Counties Achievement Awards.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Fairfield County on earning two Achievement Awards from the National Association of Counties; and

WHEREAS, This is a momentous event, and it provides an ideal time to acknowledge the exceptional accomplishments of Fairfield County. This exemplary group of communities can be proud of the area's commitment to innovation, excellence, and service, and it has truly gained a well‑deserved reputation as one of Ohio's finest regions, as is readily reflected in its awards from the National Association of Counties for the Fairfield County Strategic Plan 2025-2028 and the Fairfield County Internal Stop Loss Pool Program; and

WHEREAS, In the time since Fairfield County was founded, its generous and civic-minded population has thrived. Indeed, those who currently live and work in the area can take great pride in their rich heritage, for their noteworthy initiative and vision will continue to shape the region. We applaud the county's residents for their commitment to the well-being of their respective communities, and they have set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS, Every state's survival and stability depends upon vibrant and durable communities, and Fairfield County continues to radiate a vitality, optimism, and perpetual charm all its own. This is certainly a place of many engaging qualities, and its communities have embodied and upheld the values that are fundamental to Ohio's success; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Fairfield County on its awards from the National Association of Counties and offer our best wishes for a prosperous future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Fairfield County.
