A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Archbold Fire Department on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Archbold Fire Department on the memorable occasion of its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary, celebrated August 8, 2026; and

WHEREAS, This is, indeed, an important event, and it provides an ideal time to acknowledge the exceptional work done by the Archbold Fire Department. Since its creation one hundred fifty years ago, the agency has continually demonstrated its exemplary commitment to the highest standards of public service and safety, and its dedication to protecting the citizens of Archbold readily explains why it is so widely held in high esteem; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Archbold Fire Department are deserving of praise for their expertise and resolve, as well as for the invaluable contributions they have made to their profession. Under the leadership of Chief Dave Davis and his predecessors, these diligent individuals have fulfilled their duties and responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and effectiveness and have given willingly of their time, energy, and abilities far beyond what is required or expected; and

WHEREAS, Countless citizens in the community owe their well-being, and some their very lives, to the members of the Archbold Fire Department, who have displayed an unwavering devotion to excellence on the job. Indeed, their professional ethics, positive work attitude, and cooperation with the public have gained them the appreciation and esteem of the citizens they have so capably helped keep safe, and we applaud them on their exemplary efforts to ensure that Archbold remains a friendly and pleasant place in which to live; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Archbold Fire Department on its Sesquicentennial and offer best wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Archbold Fire Department.
