A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Firelands Health on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Firelands Health on the occasion of its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Dedicated to caring for the health and well-being of the residents of Sandusky and the surrounding communities, Firelands Health has successfully incorporated concern and compassion with technology and professionalism to distinguish itself as an exemplary medical network. With the oldest hospital in the area, this fine institution has grown over the years through the mergers of Good Samaritan Hospital, Providence Hospital, Sandusky Memorial Hospital, Firelands Community Hospital, the Firelands Regional Medical Center, and The Bellevue Hospital. During the past century and a half, it has remained staunchly committed to meeting the health care needs of local citizens in the most effective manner possible; and

WHEREAS, Firelands Health's skillful and personalized delivery of vital health care services has earned it the confidence and respect of many, and the fine reputation it has gained is a credit to the dedication of its administrators, staff members, and employees, including its chief executive officer, Jeremy Normington-Slay. Indeed, the network has achieved a tremendous record of service to the area through its commitment to the highest standards of health care, and its tradition of excellence will continue long into the future; and

WHEREAS, On the celebration of its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary, Firelands Health has the unique opportunity to reaffirm its goals and to formulate new policies to meet the challenges of our complex and ever-changing world. The organization has served as a shining example of responsible medical practices, and it has set the standard to which other health care providers in Ohio can aspire; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Firelands Health on its years of service and offer best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Firelands Health.
