A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Gary Lay for his silver medal at the 2026 Roland E. Schaeffer Culinary Classic.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Gary Lay on winning a silver medal at the American Culinary Federation's 2026 Roland E. Schaeffer Culinary Classic; and

WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which Gary Lay can be proud, for he has been lauded for his outstanding commitment to excellence. The executive chef at StoryPoint Waterville, he competed in the contemporary hot food category at this year's Roland E. Schaeffer Culinary Classic, earning a silver medal for his dish, and we applaud him on his exemplary record of accomplishment; and

WHEREAS, Gary Lay's tremendous efforts have helped to guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which he has been involved and have earned him the respect and esteem of many. It is through the unsurpassed dedication of conscientious professionals such as he that our state continues to grow and prosper; and

WHEREAS, Demonstrating a sincere desire to doing his best in all of his efforts, Gary Lay has proven to be a dynamic leader in both his community and his field. He has amply displayed his unwavering determination, as well as his astute knowledge and skill, and it is only fitting that he be acknowledged for his significant achievements; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Gary Lay on his national accolade and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Gary Lay.
