A R E S O L U T I O N

Recognizing Disability Employment Awareness Month in Ohio, October 2026.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Disability Employment Awareness Month in Ohio, October 2026; and

WHEREAS, All peoples are deserving of dignity, self-esteem, and pride, and Disability Employment Awareness Month was created to recognize, celebrate, and spotlight individuals of all ages and creeds with disabilities who contribute to the well-being of our state. These innumerable fine people have embodied initiative, drive, and dedication, and we applaud their commendable service to the State of Ohio; and

WHEREAS, A diverse and committed workforce is essential to the success of our society, and we are proud to applaud all individuals with disabilities who have worked hard to make our state a beautiful one. Often overcoming prejudices and discrimination, these people have embodied the work ethic that has characterized our nation, and we look forward to their continued impact across numerous fields; and

WHEREAS, October has been designated as Disability Employment Awareness Month to call attention to our state's working individuals with disabilities and to increase public understanding and encouragement. We are proud to support their efforts and to help them meet their goals for the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize Disability Employment Awareness Month in Ohio, October 2026; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit duly authenticated copies of this Resolution to the news media of Ohio.
