A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Liz Connolly for outstanding service to the State of Ohio.

WHEREAS, The Senate members of Ohio's 136^th General Assembly are pleased to extend special recognition to Liz Connolly on the occasion of her retirement from the Ohio Senate staff; and

WHEREAS, Liz Connolly is a remarkable individual, for she has combined civic concern and dedication with selfless initiative to become a legendary member of the Ohio Senate staff. Since commencing her tenure in 1986 as a Legislative Service Commission fellow assigned to the Senate Republican Caucus, she has advanced through various roles, leading to her current position as the Senate Majority Caucus Deputy Chief of Staff. Throughout, Liz has consistently brought forth a full measure of enthusiasm, intelligence and public spirit to her duties. She has often been described as "the heart of the Senate"; and

WHEREAS, Over the past forty years, Liz Connolly has given generously of her time, energy and abilities to assist the Ohio Senate, and has therefore demonstrated a praiseworthy commitment to the success of state government. She has provided a valuable service by helping to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the legislative process. Without the efforts of people such as she, many services that are currently available to the constituents of our state would cease to exist; and

WHEREAS, Liz Connolly's contributions to the Ohio Senate have been greatly appreciated by all those who have had the pleasure of working with her. She has displayed exceptional devotion, responsibility and enthusiasm in her endeavors. We extend best wishes to her and her family for the years to come; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That we, the Senate members of Ohio's 136^th General Assembly, in adopting this Resolution, commend Liz Connolly on her retirement from state service and salute her as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Liz Connolly.
