A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 212 on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 212 on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary, commemorated November 7, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Celebration of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to IBEW Local 212, for since its establishment in 1901, this fine organization has become a valuable resource for professionals in the electrical and telecommunications industries. The achievements of Local 212 are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the chapter itself but also on the union as a whole, and over the past century and a quarter, it has ensured its members the benefits of robust training, quality health care, safe working conditions, and protected wages and employment; and

WHEREAS, Countless individuals throughout the vast labor force have helped to build our nation, and their efforts are the reason we are able to enjoy our present climate of success for the American worker. Indeed, the members of IBEW Local 212 have been committed to advancing awareness for electrical work and contributing to economic growth throughout Greater Cincinnati, and their skills, as well as their local partnerships, have supported the importance of unionized labor; and

WHEREAS, All those associated with IBEW Local 212, both past and present, have distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans, and they are truly deserving of high praise. We are certain that as these worthy union members maintain their dedication to service, they will continue in the tradition of excellence that has been the hallmark of their chapter for one hundred twenty-five years; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 212 on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary and salute its members as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 212.
