A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Pickerington High School North cheer team on winning a 2025 OASSA Division 1 State Cheer Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Pickerington High School North cheer team as the 2025 Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators State Cheer Champion in the Division 1 game day non-building small category; and

WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Pickerington High School North cheer team have established themselves as truly exceptional competitors by combining talent and spirit in their countless successful endeavors. With admirable dedication, the Panthers have worked diligently toward attaining proficiency and precision, and as a result, they were recognized as the first-place winner in the Division 1 game day non-building small category at the 2025 OASSA State Cheer Championship; and

WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Pickerington High School North cheer team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on these athletes, their families, their school community, and their coaches. Indeed, the members of the squad have developed great talent and grown immensely from the valuable lessons of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie that have come from their hard work and tenacity in cheering; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay tribute to the exemplary athletes and the outstanding coaches of the Pickerington High School North cheer team for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Pickerington High School North cheer team on its tremendous accomplishment at this year’s OASSA State Cheer Championship and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Pickerington High School North cheer team.
