A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the City of Findlay on being selected as the 2024 Top Micropolitan in the U.S.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the City of Findlay as the 2024 Top Micropolitan in the U.S. according to Site Selection Magazine; and

WHEREAS, Findlay is deserving of high praise, for it has placed first on the Top Micropolitans list for 2024, the eleventh straight year it has received this distinction. Indeed, this remarkable community has enjoyed the benefits of a generous and innovative population, and this prestigious award underscores the efforts of area residents to make their city an exciting entrepreneurial hub of business growth that continues to attract economic investment; and

WHEREAS, It is through the diligent efforts of communities which are willing to invest in their future that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. During 2024, the City of Findlay invested more than $400 million in 24 projects that created 269 jobs, and these accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the municipality for its economic development work. Indeed, such efforts have helped to make the area a pleasant and friendly place in which to live and work; and

WHEREAS, Since its establishment, Findlay has experienced dramatic growth and change, and commendably, its residents have exuberantly embraced the promise of a bright future while never relinquishing their appreciation for the worthiest virtues of the past. The city radiates vitality, optimism, and a charm all its own, and its businesses, both old and new, continue to invest in and expand in the local community, contributing to its ongoing success; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the City of Findlay on this tremendous accolade and offer best wishes for the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the City of Findlay.
