A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Alaina Freeze on winning the 2025 OATCCC Division III State Indoor Championship in the pole vault.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Alaina Freeze as the 2025 Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Division III State Indoor Champion in the pole vault; and

WHEREAS, A senior at Northwestern Jr./Sr. High School, Alaina Freeze has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in her sport, and as a result, she won first place in the pole vault with a state- and school‑record setting mark of 12 feet at this year’s OATCCC Division III State Indoor Meet; and

WHEREAS, Alaina Freeze’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to Alaina Freeze on an exemplary season. Indeed, the maturity and experience she has gained as a member of the Warriors track and field team will aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Alaina Freeze on her Division III State Indoor Championship and look with optimism to her ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Alaina Freeze.
