A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated May 10, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Since Mansfield General Hospital saw its first patients at 335 Glessner Avenue in Mansfield, Ohio, as a 50-bed hospital in 1918, the hospital has earned a well-deserved reputation for excellence, and its talented physicians and associates have met the continually changing health care needs of its community with compassion, commitment, and professionalism; and
WHEREAS, A century later, OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital is a 326-bed hospital and the largest employer in Richland County with more than 2,000 associates. As the largest hospital in a 60-mile radius, the hospital serves as a regional hub in healthcare between Cleveland and Columbus; and
WHEREAS, OhioHealth invested more than $146 million in capital improvements over the last four years in north central Ohio and continues to invest in new physicians and technology advancements to prepare OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital for the future in healthcare in order to serve Mansfield and Richland County for the next century; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on its One Hundredth Anniversary and offer best wishes for continued success; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
