A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum as the 2017 Institution of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum on receiving the 2017 Institution of the Year Award from the Ohio Museum Association; and

WHEREAS, The Institution of the Year Award is the highest honor presented to museums in the state by the Ohio Museum Association, and this prestigious distinction is a fitting tribute to the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum. Operating under the belief that exploration and play are essential for youth development, imagination, and creativity, LBCM offers numerous interactive exhibits for its patrons, and through its sustainable business practices, it has increased attendance every month and contributed greatly to the revitalization of Downtown Mansfield and the local economy. These accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the museum itself but also on the astute management of its executive director, Fred Boll, and on its dedicated employees and volunteers, for these individuals have distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and through its generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of countless visitors. We are certain that as this noteworthy institution maintains its dedication to service and achievement, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has become its hallmark; and

WHEREAS, The Little Buckeye Children’s Museum has made a positive contribution to the community. We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of organizations such as this that the State of Ohio has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum on its statewide accolade and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum.
