A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Spenglers Restaurant Pub on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Spenglers Restaurant & Pub on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Founded by William Spengler and Gustave Kohler in 1879 as a grocery operation, Spenglers Restaurant & Pub has grown to become a Henry County tradition and historic landmark located in Napoleon. Throughout the past one hundred twenty-five years, its management and staff have consistently demonstrated exemplary professionalism and expertise, as well as an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest service standards; and

WHEREAS, Through the hard work, dedication, and dependability of each employee, as well as through the business acumen and leadership ability of its owners, the members of the Weideman family, Spenglers Restaurant & Pub has attained a praiseworthy record of service, as evidenced by its many loyal and satisfied patrons. Due to the tremendous effort and initiative they have displayed, the eatery has grown significantly during the last century and a quarter, and this notable enterprise is certainly worthy of recognition; and

WHEREAS, Ohio’s economic well-being depends on business entrepreneurs to provide goods and services to the citizens of our state. We are proud to note that it is through the diligence of individuals such as all those associated with Spenglers Restaurant & Pub, who are willing to invest in the future of their community, that the State of Ohio remains a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Spenglers Restaurant & Pub on the occasion of its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary and salute it as one of Ohio’s finest businesses; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Spenglers Restaurant & Pub.
