A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring John Gramuglia as a member of the Ohio Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum Class of 2017.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate John Gramuglia on being inducted into the 2017 Ohio Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum; and

WHEREAS, John Gramuglia is deserving of this prestigious honor, which has been accorded to him in recognition of his numerous coaching accomplishments. Throughout his thirty-three-year tenure as the head coach of the Wadsworth High School wrestling program, he demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in helping his athletes gain confidence, endurance, and strength; and

WHEREAS, As a result of his efforts, John Gramuglia guided the Grizzlies to twenty-five straight Suburban League titles, fifteen top-ten finishes at state, a state title in 2010, and a 356-74-1 dual record. In addition, he coached 133 state qualifiers, 85 state placers, 36 state finalists, and 15 state champions, and he is truly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, John Gramuglia’s exceptional record of personal and professional attainment stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation, and he has motivated countless student-athletes through leadership and mutual respect, helping prepare them for both mental and physical challenges. The esteem and admiration he has earned throughout his career are clearly evident, and his achievements are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his wrestlers, his school, and his community; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend John Gramuglia on his success and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to John Gramuglia.
