A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Mark Moats Ford, Inc., on its Centennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Mark Moats Ford, Inc., on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Founded by Edwin B. Moats and Andrew and Mable Weippert as Weippert and Moats in 1916, Mark Moats Ford opened its first dealership in Sherwood and then a larger one in Defiance in 1971, which moved to its current U.S. 24 West location two years later, and it has experienced consistent growth and prosperity due to its commitment to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The company has sold Ford cars and trucks for four generations, and it has maintained an outstanding record of professionalism over the past century; and

WHEREAS, The noteworthy success of Mark Moats Ford is attributable largely to the loyal support of its highly qualified and committed staff, as well as to the innovation and foresight of its owner, Mark Moats. Their combined efforts have earned the organization a
well-deserved reputation for superiority and have distinguished the company as a worthy business enterprise that has contributed greatly to the area’s economic well-being; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, Mark Moats Ford has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. We are certain that as this worthy establishment maintains its unwavering dedication to service and achievement, it will continue to thrive and will uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Mark Moats Ford, Inc., on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mark Moats Ford, Inc.
