A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Ashtabula County YMCA on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ashtabula County YMCA on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Ashtabula County YMCA, for throughout the last one hundred fifty years, this fine organization has achieved a noteworthy record of service by improving the lives of local citizens through programs that focus on the mind, body, and spirit and by offering a safe and nurturing environment in which children can grow, learn, and develop. These accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on the agency itself but also on its astute management and staff, on its members, and on the community; and

WHEREAS, The Ashtabula County YMCA is well-deserving of high praise, and all those associated with this fine organization can be proud of their reputation as individuals with a fervent commitment to serving the citizens of the area. Since 1868, the YMCA has served as a focal point for many community activities, and it has earned the appreciation of countless residents and has set an example of civic service worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS, By offering a wide variety of educational and recreational programs for the whole family, the Ashtabula County YMCA has established a solid foundation of superior services upon which it can continue to grow and prosper. The YMCA has won the esteem and admiration of the entire community, and we are certain that in the years to come, it will maintain its unwavering devotion to excellence; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Ashtabula County YMCA on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ashtabula County YMCA.
