A R E S O L U T I O N

In memory of Officer Mathew Mazany.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio send our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Officer Mathew Mazany in their bereavement; and

WHEREAS, Although there are no words to ease the sorrow now felt, surely there is solace in the remembrance of having known such an outstanding individual. Mathew Mazany proudly served the Mentor Police Department for more than fourteen years, and he fulfilled his diverse responsibilities with integrity, sensitivity, and the utmost competence. The recipient of many commendations and accolades, he was killed in the line of duty, and his valiant efforts were truly admirable; and

WHEREAS, Mathew Mazany was a truly unforgettable man whose words and actions endeared him to everyone who loved him. Through his dedicated efforts and dependable job performance, he earned the enduring praise and respect of the people he labored so diligently to keep safe and secure. He was a fine ambassador for his chosen vocation, and his numerous contributions will be remembered with pride and appreciation; and

WHEREAS, Mathew Mazany’s devotion to the Mentor community, as well as his selfless commitment to the welfare of others, distinguished him as an outstanding human being and a leading citizen, and he will be remembered as a spirited individual who contributed immeasurably to the world around him. It is our sincere hope that his memory will be a source of comfort to those who cherished him; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to this honorable public servant, Officer Mathew Mazany; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Officer Mathew Mazany.
