A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Bo Jordan on winning a 2017 Big Ten Conference Wrestling Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Bo Jordan as the 2017 Big Ten Conference Wrestling Champion in the 174-pound weight class; and

WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and dedication during the 2016-2017 season, Bo Jordan has certainly distinguished himself as one of the most talented wrestlers in the State of Ohio. A junior at The Ohio State University, he defeated a tough opponent from Penn State University by the score of 6-4 to secure the Big Ten Conference Championship in the 174-pound weight class, and he followed that by finishing as the runner-up in that division at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament; and

WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Bo Jordan has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. He has inspired his teammates, thrilled his fans, gained the respect of his opponents, and made his coaches, family, and school very proud; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an integral role in the total education of young people, we honor Bo Jordan on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in wrestling will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 132nd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Bo Jordan on his Big Ten Conference Championship and salute him as a fine citizen; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Bo Jordan.
