A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Claire Rhodes on her success at the 2018 National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Claire Rhodes on winning the Koch Industries Most Visionary Award at the 2018 National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo; and
WHEREAS, Claire Rhodes has worked impressively to reach her potential, and by demonstrating tremendous intuition and integrity, her patent-pending invention, “The Toiletizer 2.0,” not only earned her an invitation to compete at the National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo sponsored by the STEMIE Coalition but also won the Koch Industries Most Visionary Award; and
WHEREAS, A student at Liberty Elementary School, Claire Rhodes has shown great promise as part of the next generation of leaders, and her ambition, persistence, and ingenuity in equipping a toilet flush handle with a reservoir of hand sanitizer was recognized by Koch Industries, a subsidiary of Georgia-Pacific. Indeed, she is renowned among a select group of young people whose accomplishments merit praise; and
WHEREAS, Through her participation in the National Invention Convention, Claire Rhodes has set a fine example for her peers. It is inspiring to witness fresh and innovative discoveries at such a young age, and we sincerely hope that this success encourages her to continue building on her record of excellence; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Claire Rhodes on her inventiveness and look with optimism to a future that thrives as a result of her significant contributions; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Claire Rhodes.
