A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Trotwood-Madison High School football team as the 2019 Division III State Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to honor the Trotwood-Madison High School football team on securing the 2019 Division III State Championship title; and

WHEREAS, The Trotwood-Madison High School football team is, indeed, to be heartily commended, for it decisively earned this year’s Division III State Championship crown by defeating a tough Mansfield Senior team. The 14-7 victory of the Rams, which capped a superb 12-3 season, reflects the outstanding collective effort by this gifted group of athletes. Without exception, they prepared conscientiously in pursuit of their goals, devoting countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. Clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and 

WHEREAS, The members of the Trotwood-Madison High School football team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that befit true champions. To his credit, Coach Jeff Graham guided the team with unwavering expertise and encouragement, and he merits enthusiastic praise for coaxing admirable performances out of the Rams in each competitive outing. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and

WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a host of adversaries, the members of the Trotwood-Madison High School football team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and coach incredibly proud. This triumph attests to the staunch resolve of these young men, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable memories that are sure to inspire them for years to come; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Trotwood-Madison High School football team for its brilliant season and wish its members continued success in all of their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Trotwood-Madison High School football team.
