A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.

WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory as it celebrates its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS,  Established in 1869, DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory was purchased in 1986 by Ross DeJohn, Jr., and it has grown to offer an on-site crematory, bereavement care, an on-staff therapist, therapy dogs, and a community room with catering services at its four locations across Northeast Ohio. Over the past one and a half centuries, the family-operated company has provided support, comfort, and dignified ceremonies for its clients, helping countless people cope with one of the most difficult parts of their lives by honoring the treasured memory of a loved one, and its success is a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on the venture itself but also on its owners, including the DeJohn family, on its hard-working staff, and on the community; and 

WHEREAS,  The noteworthy success of DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory is attributable largely to the service provided by its highly qualified and committed staff, as well as to the innovation and foresight of its management. Their combined efforts have earned it a well-deserved reputation for compassion, and it appears certain that this exemplary enterprise will continue to thrive and flourish for a long time to come; and

WHEREAS,  Ohio’s economic well-being depends on businesses to provide goods and services to the citizens of our state, and we are proud to note that it is through the diligent efforts of individuals such as those associated with DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory, who are willing to invest in the future of their state, that Ohio continues to grow and prosper and remains a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud all those who have contributed to the success of DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory, and salute the company on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary; and be it further

RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory.
