A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Peyton Fenton on winning a 2019 Division I State Wrestling Championship title.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Peyton Fenton as the 2019 Division I State Champion in the 106-pound weight class in wrestling; and
WHEREAS, A conscientious and capable wrestler, Peyton Fenton is deserving of great recognition for his exemplary accomplishments as a freshman member of the Elyria High School wrestling team. He demonstrated exceptional skill throughout the season, and consequently, he placed first at this year’s Division I State Championship in the 106-pound weight class. In addition, he holds the distinction of being the first freshman to earn such a title in school history, and his noteworthy record of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and
WHEREAS, Through his outstanding efforts, Peyton Fenton has inspired countless individuals to excel in various areas of endeavor, making his school, his coaches, and his family very proud, and his poise and precision have commanded widespread attention and respect. To his credit, he has devoted a great deal of time to perfecting his technique, and clearly, his diligent practice has resulted in a proven measure of success; and
WHEREAS, In
a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state the
fundamentals of
self-reliance and the rewards of individual
effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool.
With sports playing such an important part in the development of our
young people, we are overjoyed to applaud such a fine athlete as
Peyton Fenton; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor Peyton Fenton on securing first place in his weight class at the Division I State Wrestling Championship and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Peyton Fenton.
