A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Tony Blevins as the George Clinton Chapter DAR 2019 Outstanding Teacher in American History.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Tony Blevins on receiving the 2019 Outstanding Teacher in American History Award from the George Clinton Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution; and

WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious award is an honor of which Tony Blevins can be justly proud, for he has been recognized for his outstanding talents, his leadership skills, and his unwavering devotion to his profession. A teacher at Blanchester High School, he has displayed a sincere dedication to introducing and generating interest in the study of American History that has allowed the next generation of Ohio leaders to learn important lessons from our nation’s past; and

WHEREAS, Willingly contributing his time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible energy to students and teachers alike, Tony Blevins has demonstrated the importance of education and the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society. Along with the Outstanding Teacher in American History Award, he will be honored at this year’s DAR State convention with the Ohio Society Daughters of the American Revolution History Teacher of the Year Award, and his work truly stands as the hallmark of concerned and responsible citizenship; and

WHEREAS, Due to his exceptional efforts, Tony Blevins has guaranteed a high level of success for all projects with which he has been involved, and he has earned the respect and esteem of many. We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed commitment of conscientious people such as he that our nation continues to grow and prosper and our state remains responsive to the needs of its citizens; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Tony Blevins on his recent accolade and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tony Blevins.
