A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring William Dumas on placing second at the 2019 YMCA State Gymnastics Championships.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate William Dumas on his exemplary performance at the 2019 YMCA State Gymnastics Championships; and
WHEREAS, A member of the YMCA of Greater Toledo Y’s Guys gymnastics team, William Dumas has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in gymnastics, and as a result, he won second place at this year’s YMCA State Championships. His unwavering commitment to excellence has gained him the respect and esteem of many, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and
WHEREAS, William Dumas has exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including courage, discipline, integrity, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship. Through his unwavering commitment to excellence, he has established himself as a truly exceptional gymnast; and
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are delighted to pay tribute to William Dumas for his outstanding performance in this year’s YMCA State Gymnastics Championships. Indeed, the same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in gymnastics will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend William Dumas on his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to William Dumas.
