A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Etta Gallaway on winning the 2019 Ohio Federal Junior Duck Stamp competition.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Etta Gallaway on placing first in the 2019 Ohio Federal Junior Duck Stamp competition; and

WHEREAS, A creative and talented individual, Etta Gallaway has demonstrated exemplary initiative, enthusiasm, and perseverance in developing and sharing her skills, and as a result, her painting of a drake Redhead duck won first place from among approximately three hundred entries in this year’s Ohio Federal Junior Duck Stamp competition. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her a reputation as a truly gifted local artist, and she is deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, A student at Bowling Green High School, Etta Gallaway has high personal standards and a dedication to excellence that has won her the respect of a discerning panel of judges, for her use of intricate lines, ideal blending and detail in the features that make the species unique has earned her top accolades. She has a special artistic gift that will no doubt bring joy to those with whom she shares her talents; and

WHEREAS, Etta Gallaway has worked tirelessly to develop her special talents of expression, and through her art, she has touched, inspired, and gained the respect of many. Her success is a justifiable source of pride for her and her family, and we are certain that as she further pursues her artistic interests, she will continue to make invaluable contributions to her community and to the world around her; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Etta Gallaway for outstanding achievement and salute her as a fine Ohioan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Etta Gallaway.
