A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Solon Middle School Science Olympiad team on its outstanding performance at the 2019 Ohio State Science Olympiad Tournament.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the Solon Middle School Science Olympiad team on placing first in Division B at the 2019 Ohio State Science Olympiad Tournament; and

WHEREAS, Each member of the Solon Middle School Science Olympiad team is a remarkable academician, and together, they combined talent and competitive spirit with vast expertise in a wide range of subjects to receive first-place honors in Division B at this year’s Ohio State Science Olympiad Tournament. They have exhibited a sincere desire to develop their talents so that they might fulfill their goals in the future, and throughout long hours of practice and competition, they have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and

WHEREAS, In preparing themselves for this important event, the Solon Middle School Science Olympiad team members have developed and expressed their individual abilities and acquired knowledge and information which will be of tremendous benefit to them throughout their lives. Having worked diligently to sharpen their skills, they confronted competition with confidence and enthusiasm and distinguished themselves as outstanding representatives of their school, community, and state; and

WHEREAS, By reaching this prestigious achievement, the Solon Middle School Science Olympiad team has been rewarded for its expertise, teamwork, and preparation. These qualities, coupled with the school’s emphasis on strong fundamental skills and a comprehensive curriculum, have helped encourage the intellectual abilities of the members, and we commend all those who have worked so diligently to ensure the group’s success; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, we pay tribute to the Solon Middle School Science Olympiad team for tremendous achievement and salute the members and advisors as fine citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Solon Middle School Science Olympiad team.
