A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Solon High School Science Olympiad team on winning the 2019 Division C Ohio State Science Olympiad Tournament.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Solon High School Science Olympiad team as the 2019 Division C Ohio State Science Olympiad Tournament Champion; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Solon High School Science Olympiad team are a remarkable group of young academicians, combining talent and competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge to establish themselves as truly exemplary students. With commendable dedication, they performed admirably against teams from across the state, and as a result, they won this year’s Division C Ohio Science Olympiad Tournament with a score of 77 points. Throughout long hours of practice and preparation, its members have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and

WHEREAS, In preparing themselves for this important contest, the members of the Solon High School Science Olympiad team have shown their affinity for learning and their potential to be superb leaders of tomorrow. They have certainly worked diligently to sharpen their skills and confront competition with confidence and enthusiasm, distinguishing themselves as worthy representatives of their school, community, and state; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Solon High School Science Olympiad team is a fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by its coaches, who have given tirelessly of their time, energy, and expertise to guide the members. Under their astute guidance, the students have excelled in a variety of topics and have shown great potential for future success; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Solon High School Science Olympiad team on its state championship and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Solon High School Science Olympiad team.
