A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Hilliard Darby High School boys volleyball team as the 2019 OHSBVA Division I State runner-up.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Hilliard Darby High School boys volleyball team on its exemplary performance during the 2019 season; and

WHEREAS, Known as a driven and determined squad, the members of the Hilliard Darby High School boys volleyball team have developed into a remarkably efficient group of athletes whose skill on the court is equaled only by their exemplary display of teamwork and sportsmanship. Their success is a credit not only to them but also to their school and the superb coaching of their mentor, Evan Bell; and

WHEREAS, The road to victory and a championship title is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance, teamwork, and a positive attitude on the part of players and coaches alike. The members of the Hilliard Darby High School boys volleyball team have exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of competition, including courage, discipline, integrity, and good sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them the admiration of all those who have witnessed these outstanding athletes in action; and

WHEREAS, The young men who comprise the Hilliard Darby High School boys volleyball team are all gifted and disciplined athletes, and their accomplishments are certainly a justifiable source of pride. The success of any team depends largely on the ability of the coach to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading his team to victory, Coach Bell has not only helped each athlete to develop his talents to the fullest but has also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 133rd General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Hilliard Darby High School boys volleyball team and  applaud its exceptional 2019 season; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Hilliard Darby High School boys volleyball team.
