A BILL

To enact sections 5534.421, 5534.435, 5534.436, 5534.437, 5534.518, 5534.611, 5534.831, 5534.832, 5534.917, and 5534.962 of the Revised Code to designate multiple memorial highways.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That sections 5534.421, 5534.435, 5534.436, 5534.437, 5534.518, 5534.611, 5534.831, 5534.832, 5534.917, and 5534.962 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:

Sec. 5534.421. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the portion of the road known as United States route number thirty-five, running in a westerly and easterly direction, between the intersection of that route and United States route number forty-two and the intersection of that route and United States route number sixty-eight, in Greene county, shall be known as the "Sheriff Gene Fischer Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.435. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the portion of the road known as state route number seven, running in a northerly and southerly direction, in Jefferson county, shall be known as the "Sheriff Fredrick J. Abdalla Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.436. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the portion of the road known as state route number seventy-three, running in an easterly and westerly direction through Caesar creek state park in Warren county, shall be known as the "Natural Resources Officer Jason Lagore Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.437. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the portion of the road known as state route number fifty-five, running in an easterly and westerly direction, between the intersection of that route and state route number forty-eight and the western border of the municipal corporation of Troy, in Miami county, shall be known as the "Sheriff Sergeant William "Bill" Morris Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.518. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the northbound and southbound lanes of state route number eight hundred twenty-one between state route number sixty and county road number three hundred seventy-five, in Washington county, shall be known as the "State Representative Andy Thompson Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.611. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the portion of the road known as state route number one hundred fifty-one, running in an easterly and westerly direction, between the intersection of that route and county road number eighteen and the intersection of that route and state route number one hundred fifty-two, in Jefferson county, shall be known as the:

"Cpl. Fred B. McGee Memorial Highway;

Korean War Hero;

Silver Star Recipient."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.831. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the eastbound and westbound lanes of state route number one hundred thirteen between McIntyre road and Twin Oaks drive, in Erie county, shall be known as the "U.S. Navy Corpsman Maxton Soviak Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.832. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the northbound and southbound lanes of interstate route number seventy-five between east fourth street and national road, in Allen and Auglaize counties, shall be known as the "SPC Christian M. Neff Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.917. In addition to any other name prescribed in the Revised Code or otherwise, the eastbound and westbound lanes of Lorain avenue between the intersection of that avenue and west sixty-fifth street and the intersection of that avenue and west thirtieth street, located in the municipal corporation of Cleveland, shall be known as the "Officer Wayne A. Leon Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.

Sec. 5534.962. In addition to any other name prescribed by the Revised Code or otherwise, the northbound and southbound lanes of state route number three hundred fifteen, between the Broad street exit and the King avenue exit, in Franklin county, shall be known as the "Jesse Owens Memorial Highway."

The director of transportation may erect suitable markers along the highway indicating its name.
