A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Bradford High School softball team on winning the 2021 Division IV State Championship.

WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Bradford High School softball team as the 2021 Division IV State Champion; and

WHEREAS,  Each member of the Bradford High School softball team is an excellent young athlete, and Coach Shon Schaffer has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding these athletes to victory. The Railroaders dramatically bested Cuyahoga Heights High School by the score of 8-0 to win the Division IV State Championship, and the unwavering commitment of the members and their coach has earned them this prestigious distinction. They are certainly deserving of high praise; and 

WHEREAS,  The members of the Bradford High School softball team have established themselves as a truly exceptional unit, and they have emerged as winners both in and out of athletic competition. Shon Schaffer’s skill as a coach is reflected in their outstanding success, and due largely to his tireless efforts, they have earned the respect and admiration of all who have witnessed them in action; and

WHEREAS,  In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the Bradford High School softball team have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great use to them in the years to come; therefore be it

RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Bradford High School softball team on its state title and applaud all those who contributed to the success of this fine team; and be it further

RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Bradford High School softball team.
