A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Brook Cupps as the 2021-2022 OHSBCA Division I Coach of the Year.

WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Brook Cupps on being selected as the 2021-2022 Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Division I Coach of the Year; and

WHEREAS,  The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the skill of coaches to provide both motivation and inspiration. As the head coach of the Centerville High School boys basketball team, Brook Cupps displayed tremendous ability and leadership in guiding the Elks to an outstanding 2021-2022 season, and under his astute direction, the squad posted an exceptional 14-0 league record, advanced to the Division I State finals, and finished the season with an overall 29-1 record; and 

WHEREAS,  Being accorded this prestigious award is a great honor, for in receiving this richly deserved distinction, Brook Cupps join the ranks of some of the most illustrious and talented basketball coaches in our state. His influence on the world of athletics is worthy of widespread recognition, and we applaud him on his exemplary achievements during the 2021-2022 season; and

WHEREAS,  Throughout his tenure with the Centerville High School boys basketball program, Brook Cupps has supported countless students in their athletic endeavors and has helped nurture within them a desire for excellence both on and off the court. Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, he has gained the esteem and gratitude of his colleagues, his community, and, most importantly, his players for his genuine love of coaching, and he is certainly deserving of acknowledgement; therefore be it

RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute Brook Cupps on receiving the 2021-2022 Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Division I Coach of the Year Award and offer best wishes for the seasons to come; and be it further

RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Brook Cupps.
