A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Representative Shayla L. Davis
for outstanding service to the Ohio House of Representatives.

WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Representative Shayla L. Davis for her loyal service to the Ohio House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS,  Throughout her distinguished tenure as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, Shayla Davis has demonstrated dedication to performing her duties and fulfilling her responsibilities with efficiency and competence. Representing the 11th District, she served as a member of the Behavioral Health and Recovery Supports, Commerce and Labor, and Economic and Workforce Development committees, and with determination and resolve, she has brought her talents and experience to bear on the ever changing needs and issues of the Ohio General Assembly; and 

WHEREAS,  Shayla Davis has given willingly of her time and energy and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society. Her love for Ohio and her sincere desire to serve its people have shown her to be a concerned and responsible public servant, and we are proud to note that it is through the efforts of individuals such as she that our state and nation continue to grow and prosper; and

WHEREAS,  Election to public office is one of the highest honors that the people in a democracy can bestow upon a fellow citizen. Throughout her service as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, Shayla Davis has maintained a high degree of achievement and has earned the respect and admiration of colleagues on both sides of the political aisle. Whether engaged in floor debate or in committee deliberations, she has brought a full measure of enthusiasm, intelligence, and public spirit to her duties and has served her constituents and the Great State of Ohio; therefore be it

RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Representative Shayla L. Davis on her service to the Ohio House of Representatives and offer best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Representative Shayla L. Davis.
