A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team as the 2021 Division I State Runner-up.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team on its second-place finish at the Division I State Championship; and

WHEREAS, Each member of the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team is an excellent young athlete, and Coach Kyle Olson has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding this squad to victory. This season, the Golden Bears proved themselves to be a talented bunch time and again, and while they fell short of their ultimate goal, they still demonstrated their outstanding talent and are certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team have established themselves as a truly exceptional unit. Kyle Olson’s skill as a coach is reflected in their success, and due largely to his tireless efforts, the team has earned the appreciation and esteem of all who compete against the Golden Bears; and

WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team on its second place finish at the Division I State Championship and extend best wishes for the future of the program; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Upper Arlington High School boys lacrosse team.
