A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Hilliard Darby High School competition cheer team on winning a 2022 OASSA Division I State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Hilliard Darby High School competition cheer team as the 2022 Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators Division I Large Team Non-Building State Champion; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Hilliard Darby High School competition cheer team are excellent young athletes, and they have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication. The unwavering commitment of the members and their coach, Amie Clark, has earned them this year’s OASSA Division I Large Team Non-Building State title, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Hilliard Darby High School competition cheer team have established themselves as a truly exceptional unit, and they have emerged as winners both in and out of competition. Due largely to their tireless efforts, the Panthers have earned the respect and admiration of all who know them; and

WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable tool. Through their participation in cheerleading, the members of the Hilliard Darby High School competition cheer team have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Hilliard Darby High School competition cheer team as the 2022 Division I Large Team Non-Building State Champion and salute all those who contributed to the success of this fine squad; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Hilliard Darby High School competition cheer team.
