A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Logan High School archery team on winning the 2022 Ohio NASP Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Logan High School archery team as the 2022 Ohio National Archery in the Schools Program Champion; and

WHEREAS, A remarkable group of students, the members of the Logan High School archery team have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, the members have worked diligently toward mastering their skills with the bow, and as a result, they scored 3,361 points to win this year’s Ohio National Archery in the Schools Program Championship crown; and

WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Logan High School archery team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the students, their families, their school, their community, and their coaches. The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of the coaches to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading their team to victory, the Chieftains’ mentors have not only helped the members to develop their talents to the fullest, but they have also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and

WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these fine archers and their outstanding coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the members have gained through participation in this activity will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Logan High School archery team on its tremendous accomplishment and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Logan High School archery team.
