A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Bruce Drennan on his retirement from Bally Sports Great Lakes.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Bruce Drennan on the occasion of his retirement as a sportscaster for Bally Sports Great Lakes; and

WHEREAS, Throughout more than five decades in broadcasting, Bruce Drennan has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Serving as a color analyst for the Cleveland Indians and a play by play announcer for the Cleveland Cavaliers, as well as a fixture for local radio stations, he has gained the appreciation of countless listeners, and his name has become synonymous with excellence; and

WHEREAS, Bruce Drennan loves Ohio, as evidenced in his many remote broadcasts across the state to cover the Columbus Blue Jackets and Clippers, the Toledo Mud Hens, and the Akron Rubber Ducks, as well as his travels to various charitable causes. He is, indeed, a remarkable individual, combining passion with initiative to become a leading voice in Ohio’s athletic heritage. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has given generously of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, and he has displayed a genuine love of the sports he has dedicated his life to; and

WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and talent Bruce Drennan has exhibited in his endeavors have earned him the respect of all those with whom he has worked. As he retires, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a beloved service to his community and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Bruce Drennan on his retirement and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Bruce Drennan.
