A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program as the recipient of the 2022 IOGCC Chair’s Stewardship Award for Energy Education.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program on being presented with the 2022 Chair’s Stewardship Award for Energy Education by the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission; and

WHEREAS, Created in 1998, the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program offers a variety of outreach resources on behalf of Ohio’s natural gas and crude oil producers to educate consumers and state leaders, and this prestigious distinction is a fitting tribute to OOGEEP for its Essential Ohio Energy campaign, which emphasized the integral part Ohio-produced oil and natural gas play in our everyday lives. Since its inception, this fine nonprofit has achieved a remarkable record of service to the state, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection on the initiative and its staff; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program has enhanced the quality of life within our state, and through its generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of many. We are certain that as this worthy organization maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has become its hallmark since its establishment; and

WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of endeavors such as the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program that Ohio has gained a reputation as a state that is responsive to the needs of its citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work. OOGEEP is truly deserving of high praise; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 134th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program on its recent accolade and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program.
